Aside from now letting users decide the ranking orders of posts on their home feeds, Instagram appears to be testing a new way to customize profiles. Specifically, the social network is experimenting with the ability for users to rearrange photos on their profile pages.

The feature was spotted by app reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi via Instagram’s code, which revealed a potential addition called ‘Edit Grid’.

With this tool, users would be able to drag and drop thumbnails to prioritize content instead of displaying posts from the newest to the oldest.

Although there’s no guarantee that the platform will eventually release this feature, ‘Edit Grid’ would be in line with its shift in focus towards businesses and video content creators. It could certainly be beneficial for artists and designers, who could use it to showcase their best work, as well as shops with Instagram storefronts who might wish to prioritize certain products during promotional periods.

Following criticism, Instagram has been giving users a little more control over their posts. Recently, it rolled out the option to limit embeds so creators can prevent their work from appearing in unwanted places.
