Nintendo Switch was the best-selling games console of 2021 in the US, it’s been confirmed.

The news comes from The NPD Group’s Mat Piscatella, who has shared a thread of US sales stats covering the month of December. Piscatella notes that while the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 were “effectively tied” on dollar sales for the month, Switch was the best-seller in terms of units sold.
